The Cosmetology & Esthetics Educator is responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging instruction to students in both classroom and student salon/spa training environments. This role supports student success through technical training, professional development, mentorship, and adherence to TDLR standards.
Our educators inspire the next generation of beauty professionals while maintaining a positive, structured, and compliance-driven learning environment.
Instruction & Curriculum Delivery
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction and hands-on demonstrations
- Provide supervision and coaching on the student salon/spa training area
- Prepare lesson plans and ensure curriculum pacing guidelines are met
- Evaluate student performance through practical assessments and written testing
Student Development
- Mentor students in technical skills, professionalism, and salon readiness
- Monitor attendance, GPA, and progress toward completion
- Provide constructive feedback and individualized support
- Prepare students for state board examinations
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate grade, attendance, and progress records
- Follow FERPA guidelines and student confidentiality standards
- Ensure classroom and clinic operations comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Participate in accreditation and compliance audits as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Texas Cosmetology Operator or Esthetician License
- Minimum 1 years of salon/spa experience (preferred)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
Preferred:
- Prior teaching experience
- Experience with Redken education and products
- Experience with Dermalogica techniques and products
Work Expectations
- Classroom and student salon training area setting
- Standing for extended periods
- Evening and weekends required
